UPDATE...Tropical Depression 5 has become Tropical Storm Daniel.
We will have good weather for the next few days. Today we started with lots of sun and temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
In the beginning there were also some people over 50 years old. We have a permanent front in the south and a cold front in the north.
The high pressure is concentrated on our west. Today we have a lot of sun with a few clouds. Moderate north wind blowing at 10 m/s. It will reduce the temperature a bit. So the highs will be in the mid to high 80s.
Humidity is decreasing, but there will be no drought in early autumn. Rather dry summer type. Dew points will be around 60 degrees for a while.
Temperatures will reach 80 degrees at the weekend. This large front on the map above will move over the weekend. This strengthens the mild, dry climate.
A few showers are possible on Monday as the humidity rises again.
Occurs in tropical regions. The National Hurricane Center used to call the tropical depression a north-central Atlantic tropical depression.
UPDATE: Tropical Depression 5 is now called Tropical Storm Daniel. The expected footprint is more or less the same.
Tropical Depression 5 is slowly moving east. It is in the weak control current region. Therefore, the forecast will be smooth and strong for the most part in the coming days. Strong top layer height and almost no wind shear effect. High level peaks result in runoff in the upper part of the tropical system. It can really help strengthen the system. So it could turn into a nominal storm by noon. It is currently expected to become a hurricane by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, a tropical disturbance in the eastern Atlantic is slowly moving west. Now it is unlikely to form in the next few days but will likely still be offshore.
As the air of the upper level is unfavorable for development along the road (or creek), their time of formation is nearing the end.
Finally, the mid-Atlantic tropical disturbance is getting really strong. A tropical depression or tropical storm is possible tonight.
Still a bit of a concern as it's moving west/northwest. A reinforcement plan was also drawn up. However, newer models continue the trend in the past. As a result, there is growing belief that it will remain in the ocean.
In fact, our Future Track model is now available in Southeast Bermuda.
Even if these systems form and stay offshore, they will likely bring us higher tides (waves) and greater current risks. This could affect people who go to the beach on Labor Day. So stay tuned for tropical news.
There is rare and sad news in world news today. A child died yesterday in Spain in heavy hail. The child was 20 months old. The diameter of the hail was 4 inches. About 50 people were injured in other hailstorms during the storm. This is really sad news. Here's an article with more info: Child dies after heavy hail.
