YouTube blogger Taska Kay is hunting her social media after she made a series of Instagram posts hinting at her move to Africa.
The UnwineWithTaskaK host shared on Instagram on Wednesday (September 14) that she would be releasing a vlog about her "new life" in Africa. The post included a photo of him wearing a traditional hat, while the website pointed to Morocco. The comment section was shocked as some speculated that he might be on the run.
The unexpected news followed a string of losses, including a $4 million libel lawsuit against Rumors rapper Cardi B. As Black Enterprise previously reported, Tasha Kay, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, was initially ordered to pay Cardi $1.25 million. The total damages and medical expenses are $250,000. An additional $3 million was added to KB's account after a jury found him guilty of defamation, invasion of privacy and causing emotional distress.
Kibe started his post with a comment. "Life in Africa proves that this is what I need."
"A new start. This week I will post my first vlog about my new life in Africa and show it to our extended family."
One user laughed and wrote, "He said you won't get my money if I don't."
“So he really is on the run,” she interrupted again.
A third user wrote: "This suit is a style change for Africa."
Back in July, Kibb lost an appeal in a multi-million dollar lawsuit filed in June. The court ruled in Cardi B's favor, dismissing Kiba's claim without jurisdiction and allowing the "warning" artist to hire her lawyers, and the city confiscated Tasha's wages and personal property to pay off the debt.
Amid these legal challenges, Kebay offered to rent out his Georgia home and moved into an apartment, Black Enterprise previously reported.
Whether in Georgia, Kenya or Morocco, Cardi B can get $4 million in Guinean francs or Ugandan shillings.
According to the latest reports, Kibe and his defense team have filed a second appeal. He was told that he had a "small chance" to escape the $4 million penalty.
